Not so fast Mr Burglar! The tell-tale glare of a TV screen is usually enough to scare would be burglars away (or tell them you’ve got a whopping great flatscreen indoors), but now you can fool potential thieves without leaving your gogglebox blaring day and night. Enter the FakeTV!

It’s a timed LED that mimicks the flicker of a normal TV, but uses a fraction of the power.

Pumping out the same amount of light as a 27 inch telly, it’s designed to swing into action whenever you leave the house, using its timer, or whenever the sun goes down, with a built-in light sensor.

Burglars won’t be able to tell the difference, and you can be safe in the knowledge they’ll pick an easier target than your seemingly occupied home.

These are a fantastic idea, uses a hell of a lot less electricity than a normal telly and won’t wear out your plasma or lcd!

I’ve just ordered one from http://www.faketv.co.uk
