This little sliver of Blu-Ray recording joy might never make it to Britain, but we couldn’t resist pointing it out, just because of its hilarious name.
Simply dubbed the Wooo DV-BH250, we have to admire the tenacity of Hitachi’s naming convention, and can only hope there’s a line of TVs coming called simply the “Ahhh”!
Still, inside the Wooo are a set of specs not nearly as ridiculous as its name. There’s a whopping 250GB hard disk, HDMI output and the all-important Blu-Ray recording drive.
It’ll also record HD video onto standard DVD discs thanks to its AVCREC support, although it won’t fit much footage on there.
Out in Japan next month, there’s no guarantee it’ll ever hit the UK. Which is a shame. We’d love to sit a Wooo next to our Wii, and look at it while cradling our Eee.
