Want the latest super-stable web browser? Then you need the latest version of Firefox. The Mozilla-made web browser just released the first “release candidate” version of its third incarnation.
It’s essentially a beta version, which means there might be bugs floating around, but that’s the trade off you’ll make for gobbling up its 14,000 updates and new features!
Refinements include better handling of memory, a beefed up protection system to guard against malware and web forgery, security checks for plugins and improved integration with virus scanning software.
It’s a tasty helping of new features, and one that’s made even better by claims that Firefox 3 is a whopping ten times faster than Internet Explorer 7 when it comes to running Javascript apps, like those behind Facebook and Google.
Grab Firefox 3 now for Windows, Mac or Linux, but beware - it’s still not quite finished, so you might find a few hiccups on the way.
