Sony’s OLED tellies are one thing, but this concept laptop from Samsung is quite another. Crafted with the same wafer-thin display technology, it’s thinner than even the MacBook Air, and probably twice as expensive.
As well as the brand new display technology, Samsung’s touting a touch-sensitive keyboard as the typing surface of the future. It’s a neat idea, but we think they’ve forgotten to include a trackpad.
In terms of size, this prototype has a 12.1 inch display, kicking out 1280×768 pixels. That’s plenty good enough for HD video, and it doesn’t stop there. Samsung reckons we’ll see laptops sporting 15 inch OLED screens next year, and by then they’ll be on sale, not just prototypes.
