Do people take embarrassing pictures of you with their phones? Be afraid. Texas Instruments boss John Van Scoter says the first mobile phone projectors will hit the shelves this year.
The technology, known as Pico projection, has been in the works for years, but is finally readying the home straight, and should be on sale later this year.
Texas Instruments has already shown off a prototype phone with the projector embedded in the end, although it’s more likely the first versions will be external affairs, hooking up to existing TV outputs from phones.
What do you think? Mobile advancement, or a wave of embarrassment waiting to happen? Let us know in the comments section.
