We’re used to obvious product placements in films (James Bond, we’re looking at you!) but now videogames look set to get in on the act, with the iPod appearing in Metal Gear Solid 4.
Quite how Solid Snake has time in between saving the world to jam with the fifth generation 30GB ‘Pod is anyone’s guess.
Maybe we’ll be able to hook up our own iPods to listen to our tunes in-game? There’s nothing like a bit of motivational music for Snake when fighting terrorists. Or maybe we’ll be able to download music from the game to our player iTunes style. We can only dream.
It’s not the only real world tech seen in the much-awaited title either. A female character is also seen using Sony’s W62S clamshell mobile.
What next? Solid Snake using his Blackberry to call in reinforcements, or whipping out a TomTom to find the next level?
