The latest talent to be displayed by Honda’s oh so very versatile bot is that of orchestra conductor, last night he took charge of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as the first of many different gigs in the industrial city.
Just watching ASIMO go through the motions is mesmerising but, as usual, the percussion section seemed to be taking little notice and as ever the chellists seemed to largely ignore any direction, then at the end the violinists seem to show some aggressive behaviour in the form of a battle rousing bow battering.
Showing little emotion to this outbreak of behaviour not usually associated with the bow-tied brigade, Asimo apparently made it out of the room unscathed. Check the video below, courtesy of Engadget. to see Honda’s conductor-bot in action.
