iTunes’ all-in-one music solution just got a competitor: Nokia’s new music app, making mobile transfers easy, and giving one-click access to its monster music store.
Released through Nokia Beta Labs, the Nokia Music PC software makes importing music from CDs a one-click process, and transfers tracks to a phone in seconds.
It’s designed with Nokia’s music handsets in mind, but unlike Apple’s iTunes, it’ll also work with other hardware. Any phone or MP3 player that uses Microsoft’s Media Transfer Protocol can be hooked up for simple music management too.
As it’s still in Beta testing, Nokia has disabled access to its Music Store, and freely admits there are still bugs floating around, but if you’re after an alternative to Apple’s jukebox software, check it out.
