It’s just a few weeks until Apple kicks off WWDC, where everyone’s expecting the 3G iPhone to wow the crowds. But if you believe the rumours, it’s not just it’s design that’ll prompt the oohs and aahs, it’ll be its new mobile TV service, GPS and video chat.
According to Swiss newspaper Le Matin, the 3G iPhone will go on sale this summer and offer two-way video chat a’la iChat on a Mac, squeeze in mobile TV reception and finally feature proper GPS too.
We’re an extremely cynical bunch, however, and given Apple’s concerns over battery life from including 3G alone, we’d be surprised to see GPS make an appearance as well.
Still, stranger things have fallen from Steve Jobs’ mouth during his legendary keynotes, so we’ll await his announcements with glee. At the very least, 3G would allow video chat and mobile TV without too much extra effort.
Fingers crossed Apple fans, this could be the iPhone we’ve all been waiting for.
