High speed internet access will come to three million more Britons this summer, as Vodafone ramps up HSDPA access across six of the UK’s biggest cities.
Internet users in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading can look forward to speedy 3G speeds, following on from London, which got the high-speed treatment late last year.
The work’s due to finish in the Autumn, and Vodafone CEO Nick Read says it’ll make hopping online simpler, as well as quicker too.
“The recent acceleration in the take up of mobile broadband has demonstrated just how hungry consumers are for internet access wherever they are. As a result we are significantly investing in our network so that more customers can experience our award winning, fast and reliable mobile broadband network,” he said.
“We are committed to keeping life simple for our customers in terms of access to information about services and speeds, keeping pricing clear, as well as ensuring our device range comprises easy to use, plug and play modems.”
