Apple’s not going to be happy about this. miShare has just started selling a simple device to swap almost any media between two iPods. Plug two of Apple’s music boxes in, press a few buttons and you’ll have transferred music, playlists, even photos and videos.
The magic box will even transfer files encoded with DRM, but it won’t actually crack the DRM, so we’re sure it’s on a safe legal footing.
Once any unprotected files are copied, they’re ready for immediate playback. It’s pretty neat, and completely side-steps iTunes. Songs should transfer in a couple of seconds, but movies will take longer.
It’s currently compatible with the iPod Mini, Nano, 3G, 4G, Video 5G and Classic 6G. Sorry iPhone and iPod touch owners!
