RIM just whipped the covers off its brand-new BlackBerry, dubbed the Bold.
It’s a BlackBerry in the traditional shape (no sign of that clamshell yet), packing 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and 1GB of built in memory.
On top of that there’s a trackball, a microSD expansion slot for cards up to 16GB, stereo Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera.
BlackBerry reckons the Bold will keep kicking for up to 13 days in standby, or squeeze out 5 hours of talk time.
What do we think? It’s more of the same, albeit improved, from the big B. What we’d really like to see though, is a bit of real innovation. Sure, it looks slick, but where’s that elusive clamshell e-mailer?
