Prime your PS3, and start marking programmes in the Radio Times: PlayTV will launch officially in September.
Sony has confirmed the time frame to Pocket Lint, who say it’ll cost you €99, or £80.
As well as sucking up TV (and being ready for HD Freeview too), it’ll stream programmes, whether live or recorded, to a PSP.
Of course, PlayTV also packs dual tuners, so it can record one show while watching another. The best news, however, is that the shows will be recorded without DRM, so you can offload them to any other device if you don’t own a PSP.
Stay tuned for an exact day of release, but keep your pennies put aside ready for a September release.
