Grand Theft Auto IV’s selling in its millions, but PS3 owners could be in for a nasty surprise when they get the game home. Reports are coming in that the PlayStation version suffers bugs when taken online, and struggles graphically too.
PC World is reporting “inaccessible online play” thanks to GTA’s overwhelmed multiplayer servers, as well as poorer quality graphics than the Xbox 360 version. “Several outlets have confirmed the PS3 version runs at 640p, compared to the Xbox 360’s HD 720p,”explains PC World.
In GTA’s defence, we’ve put both versions through their paces, and found no faults in online play and struggled to see a difference in graphics between the two.
If you are having trouble with online play through the PS3, rest assured that Sony and Rockstar are aware of the problem, and working feverishly to fix it. Have you encountered problems with GTA IV? Let us know in the comments section below.Out now | £40Rockstar (via PC World)
