Fed up of watching the last seven days’ telly on your computer? Then fear not - Virgin Media just launched the BBC’s iPlayer on its cable TV service.
Just like the web-based version, it allows any programme from the last seven days to be watched in full quality on your TV. It’s instantly available to 3.5 million homes across the UK, and won’t cost Virgin subscribers a penny extra.
It’s the first time iPlayer has been available on TVs, although Tiscali TV offers a limited replay service of the Beeb’s most popular shows, and clever gamers have squeezed it onto PS3 and Wii consoles too.
Sterling work Virgin. Now all we need is for iPlayer to pop up on all other TV platforms too.
