Ever wondered why phone chargers aren’t more intelligent? Nokia has. It’s working on a smart new charger that actually communicates with your phone. It’ll know when your mobile is charged, and switch itself off, saving you money, and wasting less energy.
And that’s not all. The new generation of smart chargers could be set to top up your phone with a set amount of power, or even squirt different amounts of power into different phones.
The new designs are still at the concept stage, but our buddies at NokNok have been given a sneak peek by Nokia’s Head of Design Strategic Projects, Rhys Newman.
Clever stuff, and if it saves us cash too, we’re all for it!
