Asda punts PAYG phone for a fiver

Asda is pushing what it reckon is Britain’s lowest Pay As You Go handset at just £5. It’s got 50,000 lined up ready for eager buyers and they’re available in store now, while stocks last.

There are four models to choose from - and there’s even one by Nokia available. While some offers make you slap up to £50 worth of credit on the phone before you can take it away, with the Asda deal you just need to pay your fiver and the phone’s yours to take away.
