Apple has just released an update for Boot Camp, the software that allows Intel-chipped Macs to run Windows. Boot Camp is integrated into Leopard, the latest Mac OS, and is available as a free download, while version 2.1 offers greater compatibility with Windows XP and Vista. According to Apple, it’s a highly recommended update, especially if you are one of the happy Boot Campers planning to download Windows XP Service Pack 3 that’s likely to be made available for download next week.
News of Boot Camp’s update follows the recent announcement that Parallels Desktop for Mac has sold its millionth copy. Parallels 3.0 also enables Apple owners to run Windows on a Mac with the advantage of swift switching between the two. We guess the £50 price tag would be a disadvantage though.
