The PSP’s the epitome of multimedia multi-tasking. Games, music, chat and now on-demand TV. Sony and Sky just signed a deal to launch Go!View, the first official PSP video download service in Europe. When it goes live in the summer, it’ll put Sky’s programmes onto the portable console to watch while you’re out and about.
Exact details on how the service will work are skill sketchy, but so far Sony’s saying you’ll use a PC to choose shows on a subscription or pay-as-you-go basis, then transfer them to the PSP to watch on the move.
There’s no word on whether you’ll be able to download shows through Wi-Fi while you’re out and about, or whether live TV will be included too.
Stay tuned, and we’ll bring you more details as soon as we get them.
