Feast your eyes on these: Honda’s new strap-on leg-movers are designed to help the elderly and disabled in tricky or tiresome movements with powered assistance where required, but we reckon they’d be perfect for lazy tech fanatics too.
Going on show at the International Trade Fair on Barrier Free Equipments & Rehabilitation for the Elderly & the Disabled (try saying that twice), they’re the brainchild of Honda’s Fundamental Technology Research Center.
Powered by beefy lithium ion batteries, and moving using brushless DC motors, the un-named auto-walkers can run for two hours on a single charge. Frankly, we can’t wait for them to go on sale!
