Boasting your phone has five megapixels used to mark you out as a mobile jedi, but not any more, so Samsung’s crammed some other clever technology inside its latest slider to set it apart from the rest.
For a start, the brand new Soul has function-specific keys, that change their icon depending on purpose. That means you’ll see musical icons with the MP3 player loaded, and camera keys when snapping a shot.
Add to that face detection software, an image stabiliser and wide dynamic range, and you’ve got a tip-top snapper.
Elsewhere, there’s HSDPA to allow downloads at up to 7.2Mbps, and a power amp designed by Bang & Olufsen, ready to pump tunes though the headphone socket at ear-wobbling volumes.
