Better late than never, O2’s offering customers a mobile broadband dongle to let laptops surf the web wherever they are.
Strangely, you’ll need to be an O2 customer already to get the USB modem for £20 per month, with an 18 month contract. If you’re not already on O2’s books, they’ll charge you £30, with the same equipment and 3GB monthly data cap. If you want to avoid the contract, and simply pay month by month, the modem will cost a whopping £120.
