Last year Samsung and Giorgio Armani collaborated on a touch screen mobile phone, and now the two icons are at it again: this time it’s an Armani-branded LCD telly that’s got us all excited.
There’ll be two models launched – 46in and 52in – both with cutting-edge tech like full 1080p resolutions, 100Hz motion processing and so on. But the main selling point, quite reasonably, seems to be the styling and design. There’s a glass panel over the screen, the clean sharp lines that Armani is famed for, plus two remote controls: a full-size one sporting “radiant backlights” and a small pebble-shaped one for basic functions. All nice – but we can’t honestly say from the pic we’ve seen that it looks any better than high-end screens from the likes of Pioneer and Loewe. Hopefully the Armani touch is a bit more evident in the flesh.
Samsung hasn’t revealed any pricing info yet, but we should find out more closer to launch date.
