Top Champagne brand Veuve Cliquot might make a nice drop of bubbly, but they don’t seem to have a clue about what constitutes tasteful design. The firm’s new Globalight cooler, created in collaboration with designer Karim Rachid, is a portable Champagne cooler that bathes your bottle in soft pink light. Pink?! Maybe they were all plastered on the product when it came time to give the thumbs up.
It might look like something out of a Lil’ Kim music video, but at least it’ll keep your bottle cool for up to two hours. And the price? A chilling $4,000 (£2,000). We’ll stick with our ice bucket, thanks.
Out April | £2,000
