Nike+ has been a pretty cool add-on for the iPod Nano, letting health-minded joggers store stats and play motivational songs while they pound the pavement - and now Nike says its coming to the iPod Touch and iPhone too.
Fair enough, you’re probably thinking - but one particularly nifty new detail is that it’ll be able to use these gizmos’ Wi-Fi connections (and possibly the next iPhone’s 3G) to wirelessly send your stored running data to your PC, even when you’re out and about - so there’s no need to connect everything up via USB when you get home.
Nike+ has also been expanded with a shiny new Nike+ Coach feature, which lets you pick from several training programs (from simple 5k runs to full marathons), generating a calendar and schedule to get you fighting fit in time for your event. There’s no miCoach-style heart rate monitor though, so Nike seems to be lagging behind Adidas’ pace-setter a wee bit.
