3’s cheap 3G broadband modems are going great guns. Their web traffic has increased sevenfold in just six months, with CEO Kevin Russell explaining “sometimes the core network has been running at 102 per cent of capacity, at other times it’s 30 per cent of capacity.”
Priced at £10 a month for 1GB of data, 3 recently lowered the upfront cost to just £69.99, considerably cheaper than some of its rivals, including Vodafone and T-Mobile.
